Christian Dior designer John Galliano was born in 1960 in
Gibraltar. His mother is Spanish. In 1966, the Galliano family
moved to London.
A student at the London Saint Martin's School of Art, in 1982 John
Galliano graduated first in his class in the fashion section. The
mature talent that he expressed in that end-of-school collection,
inspired by the French Revolution, attracted the attention of
fashion professionals, including the international press as well
as buyers. The styles created by the student John Galliano
Christian Dior were
sold in Brown's, London's leading fashion store. His career had
well and truly taken off for Christian Dior.
